About the Project
Rio Oro
With one-half mile of river frontage along the west banks of the shimmering Colorado River, Rio Oro is a 235-acre new development in Needles, California. Historically, the property was the site of General Patton’s golf course while he trained American troops for desert warfare in the West African campaign of World War II. It will now be developed to accommodate significant growth in Needles with single-family homes, riverfront condominiums and commercial sites.
Not only does the property provide the beauty of sweeping desert terrain along the majestic Colorado River, it is also an access point to tremendous amounts of nearby recreation. The warm summers and mild winters here have been and will continue to be an attraction to potential residents across the country. Year-round boating entertainment is only a short drive to lakes Havasu, Mead and Mohave, and Bullhead City. World-famous gaming is also only 30 miles away in Laughlin, Nevada.
